SWITCHING - ON
The instrument can be operated from a 110 or 220 Va.c. source or from a d.c. power source.
A.C. power source
- Connect the instrument to the mains
- Set the POWER switch to ON (Fig. 11, page 52)
- The display LED's then light.
D.c. power source
With the optional accessory PM 9216 it is possible to use the instrument at places where
no mains supply is available.
In case the battery supply unit is connected to the instrument, which on its turn is connected
to the mains, the charging circuit of the batteries is switched on.
Therefore, the multimeter must only be connected to the mains, when the battery pack
contains rechargable batteries.
ELECTRICAL ZERO-SETTING
- Short-circuit terminals 7L", "0" and "VQ"
- Depress pushbutton V=
(Fig. 11, page 52)
- Depress pushbutton 0.2 (Fig. 11, page 52)
- Adjust the reading to .0000 V by means of potentiometer "0" on the front panel of the
instrument (Fig. 11, page 52).
Note: Before electrical zero-setting, a warming-up time of 30 min. is required.
MEASURING
General notes: - For non-floating measurements connect terminals "0" and "L" by means of
an accessory lead.
- The capacitance between "0" and "_L" is about 1.8 nF.
- Maximal permissible voltage between "0" and "_L" is 500 Vd.c. or
350. Vase.
