Remove from below the vehicle any protective sealant from the points of contact between the shell and the tow bar; then paint the
uncovered parts with rust preventer.
1.
Disassemble the rear bumper and eliminate the bumper's reinforcement cross bar.
2.
Disassemble the exhaust pipe and the muffler's heat guard cladding.
3.
Cut the templates that can be found in "Annex 01" and accomplish within the templates the respective cuts as they are
shown in "Annex 01".
4.
Place the templates in correspondence to the rear latter end of the vehicle's spars, both right and left, overlapping the holes
and the loops that can be found on the vehicle with the holes that can be found on the templates.
5.
Make a cut of the tinplate in correspondence to the split that can be found on the template.
6.
From underneath the luggage compartment drill in correspondence to the existing holes on the spars's lower side both left
and right, a belt loop of Ø 12 mm communicating with the luggage compartment's inside.
7.
Widen the holes just bored to Ø 22 mm, on the spars's both lower and upper side.
8.
Place components "D" in correspondence to holes "1" and "2", placing them within the vehicle's spars through the splits
accomplished beforehand by template.
9.
Place in correspondence to holes "2" components "B" on the upper side and components "C" on the lower side; insert
screws and then fix interjecting the respective sparers.
10.
Place in correspondence to holes "1" components "C" on the spars's lower side and then fix.
11.
Interject drawbeam "A" to components "D" in correspondence to holes "3" and "4" and then fix.
12.
Tighten all bolts and nuts with a tightening torque as shown in the enclosed layout.
13.
Connect the wiring to the socket (usually given apart), following the car booklet's instructions "use and maintenance" as
shown in the enclosed wiring kit layout.
14.
Reassemble the exhaust pipe and the muffler's heat guard cladding.
15.
Make a cut on the bumper as shown in the enclosed layout.
16.
Reassemble the rear bumper.

Make sure that the tow bar is suitable for the vehicle before starting the installation. Verify also that the vehicle's towing
disposal quoted on the car registration is mentioned on the tow bar document. Otherwise ask for the appropriate office
(umbrarimorchi@umbrarimorchi.it) for explanations or updated documents.
•
For safety, all work involving tow bar installation must be undertaken by skilled technicians.
•
Damaged components must be replaced with manufacturer's spares parts by qualified staff.
•
It is forbidden to make any modification or structural repair to the tow bar.
•
The tow ball must be kept clean and lubricated. For added safety, his diameter (50 mm) must be checked at regular
intervals. If the tow ball measures less than 49 mm after selected readings across the diameter, the tow ball must be
replaced with a new one.
•
After 1000 km of towing, check torque settings for nuts and bolts, in accordance with the table.
