The electrical system operates at 24 Volts DC and is powered by four 6 Volt DC
225 AH (fi g. A) or two 12 Volt 140 AH batteries (fi g. B).
When the Battery Level Meter (fi g. 1 pos. 3) has one yellow light left the batte-
ries are running down. The red light on the Battery Level Meter will come on
and the brush motors and vacuum motor will turn off before the batteries are
completely fl at. The machine can still be driven to the battery recharge area
for recharging the batteries.
Recharging of the batteries
Proceed as follows to recharge the batteries:
- Disconnect plug 1 from socket 2.
- Connect on the socket 2 the plug for external battery (optional) or the plug for
the battery charger on board fi g.14 .
- The batteries are ready to be charged.
Battery maintenance
Keep the batteries dry and clean. Pay particular attention to the terminals and
terminal bolts.
At intervals depending on how much the motor-sweeper is used, check the
level of the electrolyte. Top up with distilled water if necessary.
Periodically check the effi ciency of the battery charger.
Make sure that the area in which the battery is charged is well ventilated. Keep
naked fl ames well away from the battery, especially while it is being charged.
Autonomy
The motor-sweeper has a working autonomy of about 3 hours.
Perform the following checks if autonomy drops below this value:
- Check that the brush is not pressing too hard on the fl oor.
- Check that there is no string or wire, etc., entangled in or around
the main brush which might cause friction and increase power con-
sumption.
- Check that the battery is fully charged when you start work.
Fitting new batteries
Connect the batteries up as shown in fi g.A or fi g.B.

La instalación eléctrica tiene una tensión de 24 Volt y está formada por:
un conjunto de quatro baterias de 6 Volt DC - 225Ah (fi g.A) o dos de 12Volt
DC - 140Ah (fi g.B)
Cuando en el indicador del nivel de carga de las baterías (fi g.1 pos.3) se en-
ciende el Led amarillo izquierdo, las baterías se están descargando. El Led rojo
en el indicador se encenderá y los motores de vacío y de los cepillos se apa-
garán antes de que las baterías se descarguen del todo. Entonces será posible
llevar la máquina a la zona de recarga para recargar las baterías.
Recarga de las baterias
Proceder a cargar las baterías, de la siguiente manera:
- Desconectar la toma 1 de la enchufe 2.
- Conectar en el enchufe 2 la toma del cargador de baterías exteriór
(opcion) ó la toma del cargador de baterías incorporado fig.14.
- Las baterías estan listas para ser recargadas.
Mantenimiento de las baterías
Las baterías siempre deben mantenerse limpias y secas, sobre todo los bor-
nes.
Comprobar el nivel del electrolito de las baterías en función del trabajo de la
barredora y añadir agua destilada cuando sea necesario.
Comprobar el funcionamiento del cargador de batería con cierta frecuencia.
Aseguarse de que el lugar donde se efectúe la carga de las baterías sea venti-
lado. Durante la carga no acercarse a las baterías con llamas
Autonomia
La batería tiene una automía de funcionamiento de 3 horas aproximadamen-
te.
Si la autonomía fuera menor, efectuar los siguientes controles :
- Comprobar que el cepillo no ejerza una presión excesiva en el suelo.
- Comprobar que no haya cuerdas, alambres, etc. enrollados en el cepillo
central o en los lados de éste, ya que podrían causar fricciones y por lo
tanto aumentar el consumo..
- Comprobar que al empezar el trabajo la batería esté completamente
cargada.
Montaje de las baterias en la barredora
En caso de sustitución, restablecer las baterias como indicado en la instalación
eléctrica (fi g.A o fi g.B).
