1. Put the appliance on a level and heat-resistant surface.
2. Fit the juice reservoir (5) onto the motor unit (9).
3. Place the cone (2 or 3) and pulp dish (4) on the juice reservoir, making sure the pressing cone is fitted
correctly onto the motor shaft (8).
4. Put the plug into the wall socket.
OPERATION - Using the citrus press
Tip: You can use the lid to press the fruit. This will keep your hands clean.
1. Cut the citrus fruit into halves.
2. Press each half onto the pressing cone. The pressure applied to the pressing cone will turn the motor on. The motor
automatically changes directions when it is switched on and off. The changeof direction increases the juice collected.
3. Remove the pulp dish from the juice container.
4. Remove the juice container from the motor unit.
5. Pour the juice into a glass.
WARNING:
•
Never use the citrus press for longer than 10 minutes without pausing. Switch off the citrus press and
wait a few minutes before continuing.
•
Stop occasionally to clean the appliance when squeezing larger amounts of fruit. Remove the pulp from
the pulp dish if the openings become blocked. Do not leave any pulp residues behind after use; dried
pulp will be difficult to remove. See also 'Cleaning and maintenance'.
•
Whilst squeezing, please take into consideration the maximum capacity of the juice container(maximum 0.7 litre).
•
Do not exert too much pressure on the juice cone. If the sound of the motor increases significantly
or themotor itself slows down dramatically, this means too much pressure has been exerted.
