V • CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning the permanent filter.
Clean the filter regularly. Only a clean and dry permanent filter will ensure maximum suction power.
Change the filter when damaged.
IMPORTANT! Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning products.
Disposal.
This appliance contains Nickel Cadmium accumulators that, for safety reasons, may only be accessed by a
professional repair man. To change the accumulators, contact your nearest approved service centre.

Do not allow the batteries to come into contact with other metal objects (rings, nails, screws, etc.)
Be careful not to cause a short circuit in the batteries by inserting metal objects into either end of the appliance. If a short circuit
occurs, the batteries may become dangerously hot, and can cause serious burns, or even catch fire. If the batteries leak, do not
rub your eyes. Wash your hands and if necessary rinse eyes with clean water. If discomfort continues, see your doctor.
Environment protection first !
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled.
Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
VI • SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the instructions for use carefully, keep them in a safe place. Refer to the diagrams.
Your vacuum cleaner is an electrical appliance: it must only be used under normal operating conditions.
The appliance should be used and stored out of the reach of children. Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched
on. Always keep nozzles and tube ends well away from eyes and ears.
This appliance is not designed to be used by people (including children) with a physical, sensory or mental impairment, or
people without knowledge or experience, unless they are supervised or given prior instructions concerning the use of the
appliance by someone responsible for their safety.
Check that the voltage of your vacuum cleaner corresponds to that of your mains electricity supply.
Do not vacuum explosive or inflammable substances (liquids, gas, etc.). Do not vacuum incandescent residues (hot ash,
embers, etc.). Never vacuum sharp items.
Check whether the filter has been properly fitted. Never turn on the appliance without a filter!
Unplug your appliance when cleaning it. Never pull on the cord to unplug the support or the transformer.
Do not use a support or transformer other than the model supplied by the manufacturer.
Never immerse the appliance, the support or the transformer in water, do not splash water on the appliance and do not store it
outside.
Do not use the appliance if:
- the appliance has been dropped and shows signs of damage or functions abnormally,
- if the support, the transformer or the cord are faulty.
In this case, do not open the appliance, but send it to the nearest approved Rowenta Service Centre (see enclosed Service
information leaflet), as special tools should be used for all repairs.
Repairs should only be carried out by specialists using original replacement parts.
It is dangerous to try to repair an appliance by yourself.
Use only accessories with a Rowenta origin guarantee (filters, battery units, etc.).
This product has been designed for domestic use only. Any professional use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the
instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.
For your safety, this appliance conforms to the applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage,
Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental, etc. Directives)
