NOTE: The following instructions refer to the graphic of the display and keyboard, Fig. 1.
Connect the equipment to the mains electricity supply. The equipment detects the electric supply and the
display shows a small triangle next to the symbol of the electric plug (9). This indicates that the equipment is
connected to the electric supply.
To switch the equipment on, press the on/off-button (7). The display shows "ON" and then the pre-
programmed standard temperature (250º). Then, the display shows the current real temperature of the plate.
Use the increase button (5) and decrease button (6) to increase or decrease the temperature of the plate. The
maximum temperature is 280ºC. During the temperature regulation, the display shows the selected
temperature. A small triangle on the right side of the display points to the symbol of the selected temperature
(3).
Once the temperature is selected, the display shows the real temperature of the plate. A small triangle on the
right side of the display points to the symbol of the real temperature (2). Changes in temperature are shown
in steps of 5ºC. Whenever the heating elements work, the display shows the heat symbol (8) to indicate the
equipment is heating up.
In order to program the timer, press the timer button (4). As a standard, the timer will run for 3 minutes. Use
the increase button (5) and decrease button (6) to regulate the interval of the timer. The display shows the
timer symbol (10) and the main digits show the time selected. The selected time decreases in a countdown
until 0. When 0 is reached, the equipment will make an alarm sound for 20 seconds in order to indicate the
timer has expired. Note: The alarm sound only indicates that the set time is over. The timer function does
not switch off the heating.
If you acquired a contact grill without electronic display and keyboard, your contact grill has a
thermostat with a scale to 250ºC. Turn it until to the desired temperature. While the plates heat up, a
orange signal lamp lights up. When the plates reach the desired temperature, the signal lamp switches
off.
When you switch off the equipment (OFF), the display shows the letter H. The letter H indicates that the
plate is still warm. The display shows the letter H until the plate is cool and it is safe to touch the equipment
without hazard of burnings.
Turn the thermostat(s) to the required temperature up to a maximum of 250ºC (482ºF).
The thermostat(s) led lights up, and turns off when the set temperature is reached.
7 - BEFORE USING THE GRILL FOR THE FIRST TIME, LET IT WORK FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES AT
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE (250ºC) IN ORDER TO EXTRACT ANY HUMIDITY.
