8. Bring the rope behind and back around the Climbing Stick
to the other side then loop it around the pre-attached rope end
shown in figure 9. Wrap the rope around itself several times so
that the two sections of the rope are pulled together tightly.
9. Tie off loose end of the rope back to itself using half-hitch
knots. Three are sufficient. See figure 10.
10. Have an able adult hold the ladder column straight and
against the tree. While they are holding the ladder, use the
Lineman's Belt of your FBFAHS and climb the bottom ladder
section of the SwifTree until you reach the second tie-off
location. Repeat Steps 6 - 9 until ALL ladder sections are
secured to the tree.

properly tied off to the tree!!!
DO NOT INSTALL OR OTHERWISE USE THIS PRODUCT UNLESS
YOU ARE SECURED TO THE TREE WITH A FBFAHS AND
LINEMAN'S BELT STRAP.
NEVER climb up an unsecured ladder section!!
Carefully descend the tree and detach your Lineman's Belt once
safely back on the ground.
Inspect ALL ropes prior to each use!! Inspect all sections to
ensure they are not separated prior to each use!!
Inspect ALL sticks prior to each use for undue wear,
deformity, corrosion, or other damage and all straps,
webbing, and ropes for fraying, rips, tears, cuts, undue

REMOVAL
1. With the climbing aid properly attached to the tree, attach
your Lineman's Belt to your FBFAHS following your FBFAHS
instructions. Climb up the ladder sections until you reach the
top tie off point (just above eye level). Carefully untie the knot
and allow the rope to hang down freely.
NOTE: One or more able adults should be holding the base
of the ladder section to prevent movement in the ladder
while removing.
2. Using your Lineman's Belt, carefully descend down the
tree to the next tie-off location. Carefully untie the knot and
carefully move down the ladder sections until all sections have
been unsecured.
3. When safely back on the ground, you and one other able
adult can then carefully and slowly lower the sections down to
the ground. Ensure no one is in the path of the ladder sections
being lowered. Prevent the climbing sticks from slamming
against the ground which could cause damage to the columns
of the climbing sections.
