Chapter 5: Use

- Put the gas control lever (5) onto half
(Fig. 5.3).
- Set up the flail mower for ignition by
using the Starter Lever (11) for petrol
engines.
Refer to the
maintenance booklet.
- Put the engine ON/OFF switch onto
ON (12, Fig. 5.4).
- Take hold of the engine starting
handle (13), pull gently so as to help
hook on the ratchet. Then give it a
sharp tug, if necessary you can help
yourself by resting your foot on the
wheel to pull more strongly. Repeat
this operation always giving short,
sharp tugs until the engine ignites
CAUTION :
Do NOT use both hands to hold the
handle as a possible blowback by
the engine could harm the operator.
For further information please
consult the use and maintenance
booklet of the engine.
- Once the engine has started, it is
advisable to leave it idling for a few
moments to allow the oil to reach all
the moving parts.
- To turn off the engine just put the - To turn off the engine just put the
