Using the Product as Intended
• The power storage device bridges over short areas of
track without current such as dirty areas of track.
• The power storage device can only be used in con-
junction with the 55029 decoder and with Märklin/LGB
decoders with an mtc27 interface and the plug connector
for the power storage device.
Safety Notes
• WARNING! Sharp edges and points required for operation.
• Do wiring and assembly work only on a voltage-free
or grounded work mat. Failure to do this can lead to
dangerous static charge from your body and to damage
to the components.
Important Notes
• Important: When installing this unit, try as much as
possible not to touch components on the decoder or the
power storage device. Static charge can destroy the
electronics.
• Note that the power storage device will bridge over the
missing current for a certain amount of time in the event
of an emergency stop.
• The operating instructions are a component part of the
product and must therefore be kept in a safe place as
well as included with the product, if the latter is given to
someone else.

Installation
• Do the installation only when no voltage is present.
• The plug on the end of the cable for the power storage
device is plugged into the corresponding socket on the
decoder. When doing this press the plug from above
parallel down into the socket. Do not tilt or slide the plug.
• Mount the power storage device in a suitable spot in the
locomotive. Make sure that no short circuits can occur
and that the wires cannot rub.
Operation
• The power storage device is an add-on to the decoder
and cannot be used with other decoders or sound
modules.
• The settings for the power storage device are done on
the decoder with CV programming. The power storage
device itself has no options for settings.
