e This machine has been designed for domestic

while NOT in use. Always unplug the machine

before cleaning or
after usingit.
eBefore switching on the machine, make sure
that the electric voltage of the electric
outlet is the same as the rated voltage.
e Use this machine only for its intended use as descri-
bed in this Instruction Book. Use only attachments
specifically recommended for the machine.
e Disconnect the power-line plug from the electric
outlet or switch the machine off when making any
adjustments in the needle area, such as threading
a needle, changing a needle, changing the needle
plate, changing presser foot or removing bobbin
case, etc.
e Always unplug the machine from the electrical
outlet before removing covers, lubricating or when
making any other adjustments mentioned in this
Instruction Book.
e Do not attempt
to adjust the motor
belt.
Contact your nearest authorized SINGER Service
Center should any adjustment be required.
e When
sewing,
keep fingers away
from
all
moving parts. Special care is required to avoid
accidents with needle while in movement.
e Do not pull or push fabric firmly while stitch-
ing. It may deflect the needle causing it to
break.
e Never
operate
the machine
with
any air
openings blocked. Keep ventilation openings of
the machine and foot control pedal free from
the accumulation of lint and dust.
e Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products
are being used
or where
oxygen
is being
administered.
e The appliance is not intended for use by young
children or infirm persons without supervision.
elf the power
cord
is damaged,
it must
be
replaced by the manufacturer
or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.
e Young children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
