HIGH – Charging Voltage is High – Voltage output from alternator to battery
exceeds the normal limit. Check alternator connections, including ground
connection. Also, check manufacturer specifications, as output may vary by
vehicle type and manufacturer.
14. Press "ENTER" to go to the Print Option Screen. The tester will ask if you would
like to PRINT RESULT? Scroll to your preferred choice and press "ENTER". If
you chose YES, the printer will print results. If you chose NO, the tester will once
again return you to the Home Screen and once again display the battery's open
circuit voltage.
15. Turn engine OFF and remove the test leads from the battery posts after
completion of testing, always removing the negative clamp first and then the
positive clamp.
Printing 24 Volt System Test Results
To print 24 Volt system test results, select YES when the tester asks if you would
like to print your result. This effectively saves your test data. After saving, disconnect
from the system and connect to a 12 Volt battery (the printer can only operate when
connected to a 6V or 12V battery). Once connected to a 12 Volt battery, you will be
prompted to print your system test results. Press "ENTER" to print the result. Toggle
to NO and Press "ENTER" to return to the Home Screen.
Optional Accessories: Volt Probe and Amp Clamp
The BA427 allows for attachment of two different available accessories: a Volt
Probe and an Amp Clamp. While these two accessories are not included with the
unit, they are available under the following model numbers:
Volt Probe – Model BAA7
Amp Clamp, 600A – Model BAA8
To use the Volt Probe, connect it via the accessory port to the right (color coded
red). From the Home Screen on the Tester, select CONFIGURATION and Press
"ENTER." Then, select VOLTMETER and Press "ENTER." The Volt Probe is now
