2. Crank arm cover
DAMAGED POWER CORD/PLUG
A damaged cord or plug must be replaced
by an authorised service centre or qualified
person to ensure safe use.
REPLACING THE CARBON BRUSHES
Have the carbon brushes checked and if
necessary replaced by an authorised service
centre or other qualified personnel if there is
a lot of sparking. The carbon brushes must
always be replaced in pairs.

Problem
The product will not
start.

Possible cause
The plug is not plugged in, or the
power point is without power.
The power cord is damaged.
The fuse has tripped.
The carbon brushes are worn.
The power switch is faulty.
The bit is blunt.
Poor lubrication.

Release the back cover (2) with a Phillips
screwdriver (1).

Unscrew the carbon brush covers (2) with
a slotted head screwdriver (1). Remove the
old carbon brushes, insert new ones and
replace the covers (2).
SHARPENING BITS
For best results, only use sharp bits. Sharpen
blunt bits immediately for best functionality
and life span.
Action
Plug the plug into a power point
connected to the mains.
Check that the product is correctly
connected to the power supply.
Check the fuse and reset, or replace
if necessary.
Have the carbon brushes checked,
and if necessary replaced, at an
authorised service centre.
Have the switch checked, and if
necessary replaced, at an authorised
service centre.
Start the product with the power
switch and run it with no load for
2 minutes.
Sharpen, or replace the bit.
Remove the crank arm cover, fill up
with grease and replace the cover.
