3.1. Description of operating elements

(A) Transmitter
(1) Power-on lamp
A red lamp tells you when the appliance is ready to transmit. This lamp comes on only when the audio source emits a signal.
(2) Battery pack charge indicator
This lamp lights green when the battery pack charge lead (H) is connected to the battery pack charge socket (B11) on the
headphones and on the transmitter (A6).
(3) Frequency selector switch
Using this switch you can alter the transmission frequency in order to prevent overlapping with other transmitters.
(4) Audio input socket
The transmitter can be connected to the sound source (e.g. CD player, cassette player, television, etc.) using the audio cable (E).
(5) Low voltage socket
Connect the AC adapter (C) here for the transmitter's power supply.
(6) Battery pack charge socket
Using this socket and the charge lead you can recharge the battery packs of the headphones without having to remove them
from the battery pack compartment.
(B) Headphones with integrated receiver
(7) On/Off switch
Slide the switch to the „ON" position to switch on and to the „OFF" position to switch off.
(8) Volume control
You can adjust the volume of your headphones individually. Please note that subjecting your ears to high-volume sound over
long periods can lead to permanent hearing damage. You can tell when the volume is too loud by distinct sound distortion or
the high sound pressure of the music reproduction. This does not make for pleasant listening! Protect your hearing – Vivanco
headphones sound particularly good, even at low volumes
(9) Tuning button
With this button you can activate the automatic frequency finder. The receiver integrated in the headphones automatically
searches for the optimal reception frequency.
(10) Power-on lamp
This lamp comes on red when the headphones are switched on and ready to use. When the fine adjustment (tuning) of the
transmitter is optimal, this lamp lights green. If the lamp does not light, you must first charge the battery packs. The green blinking
lamp indicates that the frequency search is currently operative.
(11) Battery pack charge socket
Connector socket for the battery pack charge lead.
(12) Battery pack compartment
The two AA batteries included with the set are inserted in this compartment.
4. Connections / setting up components
4.1. Transmitter

Power supply unit for the transmitter (C)
Connect the power supply lead to the socket (A6) provided on the back of the transmitter. Then plug the AC adapter into
the mains (230V / 50 Hz).

Connection to the audio source
If your audio source is fitted with a jack socket (e.g. for headphones), use the audio lead provided (E). Connect one end of
the lead to the headphones socket and the other to the audio input socket (A5) on the transmitter.
If the jack plug is too small for the headphones socket, you can use the adapter (G) from 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm jack plug.
If your hi-fi or TV is not fitted with a headphones socket you can also use the phono output (AUX) by means of the Y adapter.
Make sure that plug and socket colours are matched correctly (right = red, left = white).

Now switch on your audio source (TV, hi-fi system, etc.), making sure that it is emitting an audio signal.
When using adjustable headphone sockets, make sure that these are turned up high enough (roughly in the middle position).
The transmission function is indicated by the red power-on lamp (A1).
Please note: The transmitter automatically switches itself off when there is no audio signal for a prolonged period or the input
signal is too weak. The transmitter automatically switches itself back on when there is an audio signal.
