ots and Pans
Suitable P
Pots and pans should have flat bottoms in order to receive the correct amount of heat
transfer from the hotplate. The dimension of the pan and the plate should be identical or
as close a match as possible.
(A) This is the correct type of 'fit' when comparing the
pot/ pan to the plates on the hotplate. It has a flat
bottom and absorbs the heat of the hotplate very
well.
(B) This pot/ pan is too small and does not cover the
edges of the plates on the hotplate which will result
in heat loss and a longer cooking time.
(C) This pot/ pan is not suitable as it is larger than the
plates on the hotplate. The transfer of heat between
the plates on the hotplate and the pot/ pan is poor and
will result in a longer cooking time.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the hotplate on a flat, even surface.
Plug the appliance into the power supply and switch the power supply ON.
Place a cooking pot or pan on the hotplate and place food or liquid in the pot or
pan. Ensure that the lid of cooking pot or pan is then put correctly in place so
that steam cannot escape from the pot or pan during the cooking process.
Always watch over the pot or pan during cooking so as to ensure that the food
contained therein does not boil over and pose a potential hazard.
Turn the heat control dial on by turning it in a clockwise direction. Choose the
desired heat setting, 1 for low and 5 for high. Note: The indicator light will turn off
