V. Explanation of Product Storage
Capacity
1. Device manufacturers typically use decimal
(base 10) calculations for capacity, while
operating systems like Windows use binary
(base 2). This means the actual capacity of
the SSD may be slightly less than the
nominal capacity. The conversion formula
is binary capacity × 1.073741824 = decimal
capacity (in GB).
