Initial setup
The CS500PLCPT100 is a Plug-and-Play device. You can easily use the device without any
complicated configurations and settings. You can also use the HomePlug to connect network devices
like computers and game consoles directly. You can also connect devices like Blu-Ray Disc™ player
to a router or modem for internet access.
Connect the HomePlug AV Ethernet Bridge to a computer or modem / router:
1. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into an Ethernet port on the bottom of the HomePlug.
2. Plug the HomePlug into an AC wall power outlet near the device you want to connect to.
(Note: Do not plug this HomePlug into a power strip that has surge protection. Doing so will
degrade the power line performance. For best performance, plug the HomePlug directly into a wall
outlet.)
3. To connect to a computer, plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into an available Ethernet port
of your computer.
4. To connect to a modem / router, plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into an available Ethernet
port of your modem / router.
