Safety Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully before
putting the unit into operation. The instructions
are to be kept either in close proximity to the
place where the unit is installed or near the actu-
al unit itself. This unit was subjected to compre-
hensive material, functional and quality checks.
Please remember, however, that there is still a
risk of danger if this unit is not used by trained
personnel or for purposes other than those stipu-
lated in these instructions.
Please note the following instructions:
• The VE units are to be employed as overpressure
and low pressure units; they are to be operated
in a vertical position only and placed on all 4
buffers or wheels on a level surface. The units
may not be used as a step or as a work surface
or place for depositing items
• The units may not be operated when the red
LEDs light up.
• Do not operate the units when the relative humidity
is above 90% or in rain.
• During vacuum operation, particular attention must
be paid to ensure that no water or solid substances
enter the side channel compressor. This can lead
to a blockage of the turbines and result in the
destruction of the appliance. The correct water
pre-separator must therefore be connected prior to
the compressor at all times during vacuum operation.
Operation VE 4 with water separator WA6 or WA4-
Multiqube, micro filter and four point distributor
(see fig.1); operation with VE 6 with water separator
WA 6, micro filter and sound absorbers (see fig.2);
EN
• Micro filters must be used during vacuum operation
in order to prevent harmful dust emissions (for
example of micro filter see fig.3). These must be
installed professionally between the vacuum com-
pressor connections of the water separator and
the air transport hose leading to the side channel
compressor (for example of installation see fig.
and fig.2) The micro filter as shown in the example
(see fig.3) is an expendable item and must renewed
when fouled, saturated or after each operation at
the latest, and then disposed of in a professional
and approved manner.
• When using the filters in the proper manner,
particular attention must be paid to the maximum
air flow rate of the individual micro filters. An
increased air flow rate could otherwise damage
the filter inserts, resulting in the release of
particulate matter into the ambient air. It is there-
fore necessary to ensure that the correct micro
filters are always installed in accordance with
the compressor type and vacuum performance.
These must be checked for damage or saturation
at suitable intervals depending on the toxic
content and toxic hazard and replaced when
necessary. Optimal results can be achieved
during vacuum operation with the VE compressors
by using a four point distributor (see fig.4).
®
• The compressors may not be used in rooms
where there is a danger of explosion.
• The compressors may only be used by skilled
and trained personnel who have been instructed
as to the use of the appliance and who have
been trained in the field of restorative drying.
The operating instructions can be consulted if
the situation demands.Trained personnel are
persons who have been instructed or, if necessary,
trained to carry out the task assigned to them
and who have been informed of the possible
dangers in case of misuse.

Operating manual drying units VE 4 / VE 6-230 V
• Repair and maintenance work on electrical parts
may only be carried out by a skilled electrician.
• On construction sites, the VE 4 / VE 6-230 com-
pressors may only be connected to a 1~ 230 V;
50 Hz; 16 A electrical power supply with properly
connected GFCI protection in accordance with
DIN norm VDE 100.
• Do not obstruct the cool air suction and discharge
grilles on the front or rear panel.
• Extension cords and cable reels must always
be rolled off to their full length when in use.
Scope of delivery
Standard scope of delivery:
• 1 x compressor
• 2 x connecting pieces (38 mm or 50 mm)
• 1 x operating instructions
Optional accessories:
• four point distributor
• unidirectional restrictor valvel
• sound absorber
Product description
• The side channel compressors VE 4, VE 6 are
mobile, sound absorbing, electrically powered
side channel compressors developed for ope-
ration in occupied rooms where noise emission
should be kept to a minimum due to the nature
of the situation.
• The turbines are suitable for damp coursing
with floating screed, flat roofing (warm roof
constructions), raised floors etc.
