UNPACKING INSTRUCTION
CAUTION! Carefully unpack the box upon receipt. Check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and have been
received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packaging material if any parts appear damaged from
shipping or the package itself shows signs of mishandling. Save the package and all packaging materials. If the product must be
returned, it is important that the product is returned in the original factory box and packaging.
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The
arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
CONNECTION
For optimum performance, it is important to use cables specifically designed for use with speakers. Do not use shielded "guitar"
signal cables for connection to these speakers.
Choosing the correct wire gauge is important for system performance. Cable that is too light wastes amplifier power due to the
series resistance of the cable. In addition, performance at low frequencies may be reduced due to a reduced damping factor and
the cable may become hot.
The impedance setting of the PDS403V series loudspeaker is 100 volts. If it is necessary to connect multiple speakers in parallel,
follow the amplifier's specifications regarding maximum power. Ensure that the total power of the connected speakers remains
below this maximum power rating of the amplifier.
INSTALLATION
Cabling of a 70/100 Volt system belongs to an electrical installation which may only be carried out by a qualified electrician!
The total load must not exceed the rated power of the amplifier. Before starting the installation, make clear how many speakers ,
you want to install in the room, and with what wattage(s), as overload will damage the amplifier and speaker.
Procedure:
Step 1: If the 70/100Volt system is turned on, turn it off before connecting.
Step 2: Connect the speaker(s) to the 70/100V amplifier output, using a two-core 100Volt suitable cable. For the wiring
diagram, see later in this manual.
Step 3: If you are connecting multiple speakers, make sure that all speakers have the same polarity and that the amplifier is not
overloaded.
1. Tapping switch
Rotate to setup the speaker to correct power tapping.
2. Connector block

SCREW TERMINALS
This speaker allows for connection by speaker wire via the screw terminal input/output block. Use a suitable speaker wire of
good quality to ensure function.
Always insulate the unused connection cables.
