6. Using the hair straighteners
Remove all packaging material. Ensure that there are no foreign bodies on the
heating plates.
Wash your hair as usual and let it dry. Comb or brush your hair to remove any
knots.
Connect the mains cable to a properly installed AC 100–240 V~, 50/60 Hz safety
socket.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to burns/risk of fire due to hot
surfaces.
Some parts of the appliance may become very hot
during use.
During operation, only touch the appliance on the
handle. Avoid any contact with skin (especially on
the face, ears, neck and scalp) with the hot surfaces
of the appliance.
Move the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
Unlock the hinge with the release button.
Set the temperature in the range from 110°C to 210°C using the temperature
controller.
The indicator light shows that the appliance is heating up in stages and goes out
when the set temperature has been reached.
NOTICE
To avoid hair damage, do not leave the heating plates in one position
for any longer than a few seconds (depending on the hair type).
Start at a low temperature level and exposure time to find out the
appropriate application for your hair.
Choose a suitable temperature for your hair type:
− low temperature for fine, colour-treated or damaged hair,
− medium temperature for normal hair,
− high temperature for thick hair.
Frequent use of this appliance can damage your hair because of the
applied heat. Reduce the time and frequency of use to a minimum to
protect your hair.
Straightening hair
Divide the hair into sections. Hold a strand of hair (approx. 2–3 cm wide) taut
and place the heating plates at the hairline.
Move the straighteners from the hairline to the tips in one slow and smooth
