Bringing the bass towards the front of the vehicle with the other speaker drivers improves timbre and staging. This also enables the critical frequency range of between 20Hz and 100Hz to be allocated to speaker drivers set up to provide the best results in terms of performance, neutrality and dynamics in this frequency range.
