6. Once the stator is removed, you can also remove the impeller (propeller with 3 white blades),
which is held in place magnetically. To remove the impeller, use a fingernail (or the rounded end
of a paper clip) to get under a blade and lift it out. (Figure 4)
7. Once the motor is disassembled, clean the parts with warm, soapy water. Use a cotton swab
to reach inside the motor cavity and remove any build-up. Clean the motor with white vinegar for
further disinfection and hard water removal.
8. Rinse well.
9. Once the parts are clean, you can reassemble the pump for use. Reinsert the impeller and give
it a couple of spins in both directions with your finger, then replace the stator and cover plate.
