Solenoid
The engine of the anchor windlass should be set in operation
by means of a solenoid switch, the contact ratings of which are
suited for the engine supply.
If only 1 rotating direction of the electric motor is desired
(only for the 'hauling in' of the chain by means of the electric
motor), it is sufficient to use a solenoid switch with 1 normally
open contact.
If 2 rotating directions of the electric motor are desired (both
for the hauling in of the chain and the letting go of the chain
by means of the electric motor), one must apply two solenoid
switches with each 1 normally open contact.
Connect the engine and the relay as indicated in one of the
schemes on page 26.
Position the magnetic switch preferably as close as possible to
the anchor windlass.
Never mount the solenoid switch in the chain locker.
For the 'hauling in' of the chain we can supply the following:
- remote controle consisting of:
1 solenoid switch (relays) single pole, normally open
12 V version Vetus art. code: AFST1512S or SOL1512S
24 V version Vetus art. code: AFST24S or SOL24S
For 'hauling in and letting go' twice the remote controle as
specified under 'hauling in' can be applied.
We can furthermore supply a control box for manual use, with
a
coiled cord to be used in combination with the aforesaid sole-
