STARTING UP THE FILTER/PUMP
1. Before starting up the monoblock, make sure that it is situated outside the pool
and at a lower level than the water level in the pool. The flexible connections must
be well connected and fixed.
2. The pool must be full of water up to the mid height of the skimmer. The water
must circulate to the pump
3. Now purge the air from the monoblock. If some exists, open slightly the top of
the pre-filter of the pump until the water enters the pre-filter.
4. Place the valve selector in position COUNTERWASH. Only this way can the
pump be started. Begin a cycle of COUNTERWASH of 2 to 3 minutes. Then,
switch off the pump and put it in CLEAR position. The CLEAR cycle lasts +/- 30
seconds. Switch off the pump again and putt he selector valve in FILTRATION
position. Evacuate the water from COUNTERWASH & CLEAR to the hosepipe or
onto the lawn. We recommend doing 2 filtration cycles of 4 to 5 hours a day.
In FILTRATION position the pool floor is also vacuumed. After the vacuuming of
the pool floor or when the pressure increases (2 or 3 levels) on the gauge, it is
necessary to do a CLEAR cycle.
6. After a COUNTERWASH, it is imperative to do a CLEAR cycle for about 30
seconds. This permits the sand to be deposited in the filter.
7. The EMPTY mode also enables the vacuuming of the pool floor and so
removes the impurities (e.g. algae). If not they would be returned to the filter sand.
During this cycle, the water from the bottom of the pool is vacuumed to the
exterior. Afterwards, water must be added to restore the water level in the pool.
Warning! The monoblock must not be used without water.
The water ensures the cooling. – The substitution guarantee does not apply in the
case of use without water.
Important note!
Before changing the position of the selector valve, STOP the filtration pump.
POSITIONS OF THE VALVE
Important : If is necessary to un plug the pump before any action on the valve.
In order to switch the valve, press on the handle and then turn in order to set in
the intended position of the function required.
- FILTER / FILTRATION (normal use)
The pool water comes back clean after passing through the filter.
- BACKWASH / LAVAGE
(for regular cleaning or when pressure rises more than two graduations over the
initial pressure)
The circulation way is inverted. Water flows from bottom to top and is evacuated
by the drain of the valve, filed with the particles retained by the filtering media.
This implies that with each backwash, water is lost. Backwash should be stopped
when water coming out of the drain is clear, meaning that the sand is clean.
- RINSE / FILTRE EGOUT
Perform after each Backwash. Stop the pump. Position the valve in Backwash
mode. Run the pump for 2 minutes.
Water is sucked in, filtered, and evacuated by the drain exit of the valve instead of
going back into the pool. This press back the filtrering media after backwash and
avoids all the durt to flow back into the pool once the filter is started again. This
takes a few seconds.
- WASTE / EGOUT
Water is sucked in and drained without passing through the filtering media. This
