DESCRIPTION
General
The Model MIXS1 is a weighing indicator for use with Intrinsically Safe scale platforms. The weighing
indicator has a display and also has RS232 and RS422 data signals for delivering the information to the
control room.
Mechanical Construction
The electronics are contained in a 316 Stainless Steel enclosure. The enclosure is rectangular with
slanted front cover. The enclosure is approximately 120mm in height by 232mm in length by 84.3mm in
depth.
The face of the enclosure contains a polymeric overlay keyboard which is cemented to the housing. The
keyboard overlay also contain a clear section for the window display.
The wire entries are blank holes and are required to be fitted with certified cable fittings and/or blanking
plugs for the marked installation.

For type of protection intrinsic safety, connections can only made by connecting certified apparatus
having energy limitation parameters as follows:

Operation Temperature Range:
The Model MIXS1 Weighing Indicator are rated for an ambient temperature range of -10°C to +40°C.
