5.2 Changing the grinding/sanding belt
(Fig. 10-14/Item 12)
•
Press the clamping lever for the grinding/
sanding belt (9) forward until you hear it latch
in place.
•
Now you can place the grinding/sanding belt
(12) around the drive roller (11) as shown
in Fig. 12 and then around the tip of the
grinding/sanding belt arm (13) (Fig. 13).
•
Make sure that the running direction of the
grinding/sanding belt (see arrow on the inside
of the grinding/sanding belt) is the same as
the running direction of the cordless file belt
sander.
•
Pull the clamping lever (9) back to the rear to
tension the grinding/sanding belt.
5.3 Adjusting the belt running position (Fig.
15-17/Item 10)
•
Hold the cordless file belt sander by the
handle and switch it on with the On/Off switch
(5).
•
By turning the lock knob for adjusting the
grinding/sanding belt (10) you must adjust the
belt running position such that the grinding/
sanding belt (12) runs centrally on the grind-
ing/sanding belt arm (13).
5.4 Changing the grinding/sanding belt arm
(Fig. 18/Item 13)
•
The cordless file belt sander is supplied
complete with a

and a

" grinding/sanding belt arm.

To change the grinding/sanding belt arm (13)
remove the grinding/sanding belt (12) as de-
scribed in 5.2.
•
Then fully unscrew the lock knob for adjusting
the grinding/sanding belt (10).
•
Now you can easily remove the grinding/
sanding belt arm and fit the other grinding/
sanding belt arm in reverse order.
5.5 Adjusting the angle of the swiveling gear
head (Fig. 19-20/Item 16)
•
You can swivel the swiveling gear head (16)
up to 90°.
•
To do so, press the clamping lever (15)
forward.
•
Now you can swivel the gear head into the
required position.
•
Then pull the clamping lever (15) back to the
rear to secure the swiveling gear head (16)
again.
•
Finally, check that the swiveling gear head
(16) is securely seated.

6. Operation
6.1 Switching On/Off (Fig. 21)
To switch on:
Press the On/Off switch (5).
Continuous operation:
Secure the switch (5) with the locking button (4).
To switch off :
Press the On/Off switch (5) briefl y.
The machine can be operated on a temporary or
permanent setting.
6.2 Setting the belt speed (Fig. 21/ Item 3)
You can select the belt speed by turning the
setting knob (3).
PLUS direction:
Increase belt speed.
MINUS direction:
Reduce belt speed.
6.3 Instructions for use
Warning! The workpiece you want to grind, or
sand must never be held in your hand. Secure the
workpiece on a sturdy surface or with a vise.
•
Allow the cordless file belt sander to start
running before you place it on the workpiece.
•
Do not switch off the cordless file belt sander
while it is still touching the workpiece.
•
Always hold the cordless file belt sander with
both hands while it is running.
•
Always grind or sand wooden workpieces in
the direction of the grain.
6.4 Charging the Lithium-Ion battery (not
included)
The corresponding instructions can be found
in the original operating instructions for your
charger.
6.5 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 22 / item
18)
Press the battery capacity indicator switch (19).
The battery capacity indicator (18) shows the
charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.
All 3 LEDs lit:
The battery is fully charged.
