D Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
• Als Teil einer Maschine übernehmen die kodierten
Magnetschalter von BERNSTEIN zusammen mit einer
Auswerteeinheit (beispielsweise der MÜZ von BERNSTEIN
oder einer anderen geeigneten Sicherheitsauswertung) als
Systemlösung die Verriegelung von beweglich trennenden
Schutzeinrichtungen wie Klappen, Türen und Schutzgittern.
• Die MAK sind Verriegelungsschalter der Bauart 4 mit
geringer Kodierung gemäß ISO 14119.
• Die Magnetschalter können nur in Verbindung mit dem
vorgesehenen Betätiger von BERNSTEIN betrieben werden.
• Die Norm IEC 60947-5-3 gilt nur als erfüllt, wenn der kodierte
Magnetschalter von BERNSTEIN mit dem dazugehörigen
Betätiger und dem zugelassenen Auswertegerät als
komplettes System eingesetzt wird (beispielsweise die MÜZ
von BERNSTEIN).
Sicherheitshinweise
• Einschaltbefehle für gefahrbringende Zustände werden erst
wirksam, wenn sich die Schutzeinrichtung in Schutzstellung
befindet.
• Ein unsachgemäßer Einbau oder Manipulation
des Sicherheitsschalters führt zum Verlust der
Personenschutzfunktion und kann zu schweren oder
tödlichen Verletzungen führen.
• Magnetschalter auf Reedkontaktbasis sind empfindlich
gegen Vibration und/oder Schlag-/Stoßwirkungen.
• Ferromagnetische Späne von den Betätigungsmagneten
fernhalten.
• Der Einbau in oder an ferromagnetischen Materialien
kann die Funktion (besonders den Schaltabstand des
Magnetschalters) beeinflussen.
• Beim Einsatz von Magnetschaltern in aggressiver Umgebung
ist sicherzustellen, dass die Gehäuse- und Kabelmaterialien
beständig sind.

GB Intended use
• As part of the machine, the BERNSTEIN coded magnet
switches, together with an evaluation unit (for example the
BERNSTEIN MÜZ or another appropriate safety relay), are
used as a system solution for the interlocking of movable
protective guards such as doors or protection grills.
• The MAKs are type 4 locking switches with low level coding
according to ISO 14119.
• The Magnetic Switch can only be used with actuators by
BERNSTEIN.
• The IEC 60947-5-3 standard shall only be considered
satisfied if the BERNSTEIN coded magnet switch is used as
a complete system, with the associated actuator and the
approved evaluation unit (for example the BERNSTEIN MÜZ)
Safety information
• Starting commands for hazardous situations must become
active only when the safety guard is in protective position.
• Improper installation or manipulation ot the safety switch
renders the personal protection function useless and can
cause serious injury or accidental death.
• Magnetic switches on reed contact base are sensitive
against vibration, impact and shock.
• The actuating magnet has to be protected against
ferromagnetic chips.
• Installation too close to ferromagnetic materials may
adversely affect functionality.
• When using magnetic switches in extreme and harsh
environments the operator must ensure that housing and
cable materials are resistant to local ambient conditions.
F Utilisation conforme à la destination prévue
• En tant que partie d'une machine, les détecteurs
magnétiques codés de BERNSTEIN avec une unité
d'évaluation (par exemple le MÜZ de BERNSTEIN ou une
autre évaluation de sécurité adéquate) sont utilisés en
solution système pour le verrouillage de protecteurs mobiles
tels que les clapets, les portes et les grilles de protection.
• Les MAK sont des interrupteurs de verrouillage de type 4
avec niveau faible de codage selon ISO 14119.
• Les Détecteur magnétique compatibles exclusivement avec
l'actionneur proposé par.
• La norme IEC 60947-5-3 n'est respectée que si le détecteur

Consignes de sécurité
• Le démarrage des équipements dangereux ne peuvent

• Une installation incorrecte ou une mauvaise manipulation
de l'interrupteur de sécurité peut entraîner des blessures
graves ou mortelles.
• Les détecteurs magnétiques à contact Reed sont sensibles
aux vibrations et chocs.
• L'aimant doit être protégé contre les éléments
ferromagnétiques.
• L'installation à proximité de matériel ferromagnétique peut
avoir des incidences négatives sur le fonctionnement.
• En utilisant les détecteurs magnétiques dans les
environnements extrêmes et dangereux, l'opérateur doit
assurer que le matériel du boîtier et du câble résistant à cet
environnement.
