until it fits snugly (fig.2). The end of the beater with the gear must be fitted into the
appropriate opening as marked.

bowl (models 1413FL and 1414FL).
Selecting a speed:
Whenever the speed selector is pushed to the M position (Pulse function), the mixer
will operate at maximum speed and will turn off when the selector (A) is released.
Move the selector (A) to choose one of the 5 speeds, according to the type of preparation
desired.
• Speeds 1 and 2 – These are the recommended speeds for the start of any preparation.
Stirring, beating and mixing liquids with other ingredients. To fold stiff egg whites into
the batter.
• Speeds 3 and 4 – Especially recommended for thicker and heavier batters.
• Speed 5 – Proper speed for beating egg whites, and preparing cake batters and
sauces.
Independently of the speed selected, the TURBO button (J) allows you to increase to
the maximum speed by merely pressing the button. When the button is released, the
mixer returns to the selected speed.
PRACTICAL SUGGESTIONS
To avoid splatters, immerse the beaters in the ingredients before turning on the mixer.
The speed of the mixer can be changed during operation.
For thick batters, it is best to use the maximum speed.
