SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Before using the appliance for the first time, read this instruction manual carefully
and retain for future reference. Operation non-conforming to the instructions, will
exempt FLAMA from any responsibility.
• As with any appliance, the use of this appliance by children requires appropriate
supervision.
• Check to see that your residential power supply corresponds to the voltage indicated
on the specifications plate of your appliance.
• Never connect this appliance to an external timer switch in order to avoid a hazardous
situation.
• This appliance is designed for indoor domestic use only.
• This appliance should not be used by persons (including children) with limited physical,
sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience, unless they have been given
instructions in the use of the appliance by a person who is responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains, removing the plug from the wall socket
after each use and when cleaning.
• Do not touch the beaters while they are moving.
• The mixer must be connected to the wall socket only after the accessories (beaters)
to be used have been inserted. After using the mixer, remove the accessories (beaters)
from the mixing bowl only when they have stopped turning.
• Do not place any type of object (for example, spoons, knives, etc.) in the mixing bowl
while the beaters are moving.
• After 5 minutes of continuous operation, allow the mixer to rest for a few minutes
to avoid overheating the motor.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. It must be cleaned in
accordance with the instructions for Maintenance and Cleaning..
• Do not expose the appliance to the weather.
• When removing the plug from the wall socket, do not pull on the power cord.
• Do not use the appliance if it has not been working properly or if it is damaged in
any way. Any service other than cleaning must be performed by a FLAMA Authorised
Service Technician.
• Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the plug is damaged.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its Customer
Service or similarly qualified personnel in order to prevent danger.
• Do not try to replace the power cord or the plug, as this is a dangerous operation.
Have them immediately replaced by a FLAMA Authorised Service Technician.
• This product complies with the Low Voltage Directive - 2006/95/EC and Electromagnetic
Compatibility Directive - 2004/108/EC.
OPERATION
The mixer allows you to mix, knead, and beat foods.
For these uses, the mixer is equipped with:
Beaters: For light batters, beating egg whites, creams, whipped cream, mayonnaise and
purees. These beaters are also especially recommended for the preparation of sauces
and puddings.
Dough hooks: For the preparation of yeast doughs and cake batters. Batters for tarts
and pancakes are also prepared more easily and rapidly with these beaters.
If you have purchased model 1402FL or 1404FL, you will have to use a bowl (plastic or
metallic) for mixing the ingredients. When using the mixer, move it around the bowl so
that the ingredients are well mixed.
