Preparing the Spring Cradle Motor
Attaching the Springs
Press the end of each spring together until a small
gap opens (see illustration below). Push this opening onto the plate with a
set of holes in it. Attach the spring securely with an up and down movement.
Attach all required springs in this manner to both metal plates (Spring Sus-
pension Plate at top and Spring Plate at bottom). Observe the correct spring
configuration (see p. 30 in the Number of Springs section). For detaching the
springs, you pull the corresponding end apart. Then, push the opening over
the metal rail. Think of removing a key from a key ring. Once one side is free,
you can easily release the other side with a turning movement.
