Precautions for use
- No part of this appliance may be repaired or replaced by the user. Repairs and
maintenance should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
- Please ensure that the batteries are inserted/replaced in the correct direction.
- Always choose the correct size and type of battery best suited to the intended use. Keep
the information supplied with the equipment to help you choose the correct batteries, for
future reference.
- Replace all the batteries in a set at the same time.
- Clean the battery contacts and those of the equipment before installing the batteries.
- Make sure that the batteries are correctly installed according to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove discharged batteries quickly.
- This device is designed to operate with non-rechargeable batteries. We cannot guarantee
the correct operation of the product if you try to use rechargeable batteries with it.
Recommendations concerning batteries :
- Do not attempt to open or deform the batteries
- Do not short-circuit the batteries.
- Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
- Store batteries in a dry, temperate place away from direct sunlight.
- To avoid any malfunction, do not immerse the passage detector in water or any other
liquid. Do not place the device near water or any source of moisture or objects filled with
water, such as a bath, washbasin, kitchen sink or swimming pool.
- Never use sharp objects to access the inside of the passage detector.
- Do not knock the appliance or subject it to violent shocks.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by persons lacking experience or knowledge,
unless they have been given prior supervision or instructions concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the passage detector operates in an unusual way, and particularly if it emits sounds or
smells that seem abnormal to you, remove the batteries immediately and have it examined
by a qualified repairer.
