The approximate line movement required to trigger the
unit at each sensitivity setting is as follows –
Note that when a particular setting has been selected,
(e.g. tone), it remains selected until the user chooses
something different, or the unit is switched off.
LOW BATTERY WARNING
The Micron MX2 incorporates a low battery warning
feature. When a low battery condition is detected, a
two-tone warning sound, with flashing LED, will be
heard after the normal 20-second LED timing period.
When this occurs, it is recommended that the batter-
ies are replaced as soon as possible, to maintain opti-

mum performance.
BATTERIES
To fit / replace batteries:
To open the battery compartment, pull down on the
clip at the top of the cover. The cover will then come
off.
Ensure batteries are inserted the correct way round,
as shown on the inside of the compartment.
Battery requirements
The MX2 requires 2 x 'N' size (910A/ LR1) 1.5V alka-
line batteries.
The use of good quality alkaline batteries is essential
for maximum battery life.
To reduce the risk of battery leakage, DO NOT mix old
and new batteries. DO NOT mix different battery
types. The use of rechargeable batteries is not recom-
mended.
As with any battery operated product, it is recom-
mended that batteries be removed if the unit is not to
be used for a long period of time.
