COOKING TIP:
To stop the cooking process and prevent eggs from overcooking, run cooked eggs
under cold water or place in a bowl of cold water after removing them from the egg
cooker.
HOW TO MAKE POACHED EGGS / EGG SANDWICH
Depending on the recipe you would like, use either the poached egg tray (L) or egg
sandwich tray (K).
Turn measuring cup (G) to side with poached egg, egg sandwich, omelet markings.
Fill the cup with cold water to the mark corresponding to your chosen
recipe. (fig. 13)
Pour the water in the heating plate (D). (fig. 14)
Crack eggs into the tray of your chosen recipe, one egg in one compartment.

COOKING TIP:
Lightly spray the tray with cooking oil before adding eggs for best result.
Place the egg holder (C) on the heating plate (D), before putting the tray onto the
egg holder. Cover with the lid (B). (fig. 16)
Note: Always place the tray on top of the egg holder, NEVER directly on top of
the stainless steel heating plate.
Turn the control switch (E) "ON". The indicator light will turn on. (fig. 17)
Your egg cooker will alert you when eggs are done. Turn the control switch (E)
"OFF" and the indicator light turns off. (fig. 18 and 19)
Note: Even after the alert has stopped, the indicator light will remain "ON". Switch
your egg cooker "OFF" as soon as possible to prevent eggs from overcooking.
Remove the lid (B) by its handles carefully, taking care not to scald yourself as the
egg cooker will be very hot. (fig. 20)
Take the tray out using an oven mit to prevent from burning your hands.
HOW TO MAKE OMELET
Use the omelet tray (J).
Turn measuring cup (G) to side with poached egg, egg sandwich, omelet markings.
Fill the cup with cold water to the mark corresponding to your chosen recipe.

Pour the water in the heating plate (D). (fig. 22)
Mix eggs and other ingredients of your choice in a bowl. Pour mixture into the tray.

CLEANING
Always disconnect the appliance before cleaning and leave to cool for
approximately 30 minutes, or until completely cooled.
Clean the heating plate with a damp sponge or cloth and dry immediately.
Note: Do not immerse base of egg cooker in water or other liquids. The body
of the egg cooker is NOT dishwasher safe.
Do not use a metal scouring pad, scouring powders, or abrasives when cleaning
the interior or exterior of the appliance.
Never place the base of the unit in water or under running water.
To clean the lid, egg holder, measuring cup, and trays, use a damp sponge and
dishwashing liquid. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Note: These parts are also dishwasher safe.
Important: When cleaning the measuring cup, be cautious as the egg pricker
on the bottom is very sharp.
DESCALING
If you use natural tap water and have hard water, it is normal to have brown to
white residue left on the stainless steel heating plate. Descale the heating plate and
remove stubborn stains by following the instructions below:
Add juice from one lemon and water, in ratio of 1:1, to the heating plate (D). (fig. 30)
Turn the control switch (E) "ON". The indicator light will turn on. (fig. 31)
Boil the solution for 2 minutes, then turn the control switch (E) "OFF".

Disconnect the appliance. (fig. 34)
Leave the appliance to cool until the solution is warm. (fig. 35)
Clean the heating plate with a damp sponge or cloth and dry immediately. (fig. 36)
Note: Do not immerse base of egg cooker in water or other liquids.
The body of the egg cooker is NOT dishwasher safe.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR APPLIANCE DOES NOT WORK
Check that the appliance is plugged in correctly.
If your appliance still does not work, consult an authorized KRUPS service center
