SEALER SERVICE KIT
1. Unplug unit and remove all green plastic caps from
both ends of the sealer.
2. Loosen one side plate and peel back upper Teflon
cloth.
3. To remove old element wire, hold nut (on hinge
end of sealer) with pliers while turning with a Philips
screwdriver. Then release element from post on
opposite end.
4. Remove the lower Teflon tape strip that was under
the element. Peel off backing from new strip and
adhere it to the sealing arm. (See Figure 1)
5. Attach new element on hinge end of sealing arm.
Insert screw through element eyelet and screw into
place.

6. Remove post with washer and spring from end of the
sealing arm (under the handle knob). (See Figure 2)
7. Slide spring onto post. Place washer on post and
push washer and spring past open slit.
8. Attach other end of the new heating element to the
open slit on the post.
9. Push the washer against the spring so both fit back
inside the sealing arm. (See Figure 3)
10. Replace upper Teflon cloth over the element.
Tighten side plate.
11. Replace all 3 green end caps.
