eSATA mode
NOTE:
The eSATA connection is only available when a SATA HDD is used.
Motherboard or adapter card with eSATA interface is required. If motherboard
supports Hot-Swap on eSATA port the system doesn't need to be switched off
when connecting eSATA enclosure.
Connection
1. Ensure that the USB2.0 / eSATA switch on the back of
the enclosure is in the eSATA mode.
2. Switch off the computer system.
3. Use the USB-to-DC cable (both connectors) to provide power to the enclosure.
NOTE:
Some HDD with low power requirements may only require single USB
connector to be plugged in.
4. Use supplied eSATA cable to connect the NMAX enclosure to the
motherboard's eSATA external port.
NOTE:
If the port is not present on your motherboard you may need to install
an eSATA adapter (eSATA-45-EX).
