Not following these instructions can result in electric shock which can be followed by heavy damaged to
your item or even worse by serious injuries.
Since the pump is mostly used for inflamable fluids (even if not easily inflamable) there is a risk of fire.
You need to be very careful when operating the pump.
The manufacturer will not be responsible for any damages that have been caused because this manual
has not been read carefully and fully understood.
Note:
The pump can slightly smells like diesel right after unpacking. That is normal and there is no need to
worry.
Your pump is new and according to the relevant norms that apply for this kind of pumps, the pump must
have a short testrun before it may be sold.
This also explains why sometimes the counter (optional item, not included with all models) is not exactly
in „ZERO" position.
Warning:
There are risks that can be avoided:
Unplug the pump before you do any maintenace work

technicians. Only use original Mauk spare parts).
Dont move the pump during use.

Before using always make sure that the pump itemself, all parts, the power cord and insulations
•
are in perfect condition. If you have any doubt please ask an expert before using.
Never use the pump with wet hands or barefooted.

The connection clamps (or the plug) must be well protected from water, splash water, rain, Öl
•
and any other fluids.
The pump should always be above the fluid level.
•
The user must obey the current rules for accident prevention and the instructions that follow in
•
the next chapter.
The pump mustnt be operated by persons with reduced physical or mental abilities or by children.
•
They mustnt be left alone with the pump or play with it. There must always be a person around
that is familiar with the pump.
Persons that have never used the pump should carefully read the manual or be advised by a
•
person who has.

Before first usage:
Only connect the pump with an outlet that matches the pumps technical data (please also refer

to the rating lable).
To perfectly seal the hose connection you should wind some teflon tape around the connectors.
•
Usage:
Never let the pump run dry! (always make sure the body of the pump and the hoses are filled)

When not using the pump over a longer period of time we recommend to empty the pump and the
•
hoses and store it well protected and in a dry area.
