Inserting the Battery
1. To insert resp. to replace the 3 V
Lithium battery, push the small battery
compartment button (A) inwards and
pull out the battery compartment from
the other side of the case.
2. Put the battery into the compartment.
Make sure the –pole (minus pole)
faces upwards.
3. Push the battery compartment back in
place and push until it fits with the
housing.
Measuring an Angle
1. Press the 0/ON button (8) in order to switch on the protractor.
The display (3) shows the digits
the desired angle.
2. Horizontally rotate one scale arm to
start measuring. The more you open
the scale arm of the protractor, the
bigger the measured angle. If the scale
arms cannot be opened easily, turn the
lock turning knob (5) counter clockwise
in direction to "LOOSE". If the arms are
too slackly, turn the lock knob in direc-
tion to "TIGHT".
3. If you want to hold the measured value, press the button HOLD
(7). The display "freezes" the value of the measured angle and
additionally the icon H is displayed on the bottom right side.
Now, even if you change the angle, the "hold" value will be
displayed.
