Safety instructions

•
Please carefully read the user manual of the car
seat and, in particular, the safety instructions
before mounting the adapter for the Makki.
•
The adapter is only suitable for use in the box of
the Makki cargo bikes of Royal Dutch Gazelle N.V.
•
Use of the car seat adapter in combination with
the Makki is suitable for transporting a baby as of 3
months to around 12 months of age.
•
When using the car seat, this should be mounted
in the transport mode onto the adapter: put the
handle in the opened out position. The handle
then functions as extra protection for your child.
•
For the well-being of your child, we advise you to
limit the use of the adapter to a maximum of half an
hour per trip, with a maximum of one hour per day.
•
The riding and steering behaviour can be
influenced when using the car seat on the adaptor.
For your safety and that of your baby, moderate
your speed to a maximum of 20 km/hour and
avoid bumps and obstacles on the road.
•
Carefully read the safety and user instructions in
the Makki user manual.
•
It is forbidden to make any modifications to the
adapter. If modifications have been made the
functionality cannot be guaranteed, thereby
rendering the warranty null and void.
•
Ensure that the adapter is not overloaded. This
can lead to unsafe situations and/or damage. The
adapter can withstand loads of up to 15 kg.
•
The adapter is suitable for most common car
seats. Your Gazelle service specialist can advise
you on the purchase.

4 Mounting the adapter is done as follows:

Position the frame

Each adapter/holder
(that stand for Left / Right, as seen facing forwards).

Attach the frame
the box; secure each point with a socket screw
and a spacer ring

Screw the bolts tight using Allen key 5.
The adapter is now ready for the mounting of a car
seat.
