Powering up ATS1238
1.
Before powering up the panel and receiver module, verify
that all wiring at the panel and ATS1238 wireless receiver
is correct.
2.
Connect the panel backup battery and AC power.
Configuring wireless sensors, zones, and
PIR cameras
Refer to Advisor Advanced Installation and Programming
Manual for details.
Connection quality
See Advisor Advanced Installation and Programming Manual
for more information.
Verifying the connection quality via control panel menu
You can verify the connection quality using appropriate control
panel internal menus.
The approximate connection quality levels are listed in Table 3
below.

<−90
[.I.........]
Weak signal. The senor may work, but the
operation is not recommended, because the
wireless device will cause RF supervisory
faults.
−90 to −75 [.I.I.......]
Good signal. The sensor works, although
supervision for this RF device may have to
be switched off.

HDR receiver communication quality is measured in
percentage, from 0% (no signal) to 100% (best signal).
Verifying the connection quality via camera range test
Range test allows you to verify wireless PIR camera signal
reception. In this mode, selected wireless PIR cameras show
the reception quality with alarm LED colour:
Green: Strong signal, RSSI>−75 dBm and QI>70%
Orange: Good signal, RSSI is −90 to −75 dBm, or QI is 51
to 70%
Red: Weak signal, RSSI is <−90 dBm, or QI is <51%
The LED follows the weakest communication link of LDR and
HDR.
Privacy note
Prior to dismantling the system, or replacing ATS1238 wireless
expander or one of wireless PIR cameras, ensure that all
stored pictures have been deleted. It takes approximately 3
minutes to delete all pictures.
