Getting started
Please let the appliance rest for 2 hours if it was transported in an upright position, or 24 hours if it
1.
was transported in a horizontal position, before plugging it into the mains socket for the first time.
This is to allow the refrigerant gas to go back down into the compressor. Not respecting this waiting
period may damage the compressor.
Plug the appliance into an earthed socket.

Refrigerator compartment
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
The thermostat knob switches the appliance on and off. It serves to regulate both the refrigerator
compartment and the freezer compartment.
IMPORTANT: The thermostat must be set to 3 when
setting it for the first time and for normal, everyday
use.
Notes:
It is recommended that you use settings 4 and 5 only in case of very high temperatures.
It is possible that frost may form inside the unit when the thermostat is set to 4 or 5. Refer to the
"Cleaning and maintenance" section for defrosting, then set the thermostat back to 3.
When the appliance is initially switched on or after it has been switched off for a prolonged period of
time, if you will be using the freezer compartment immediately, set the thermostat to 5 for about 2 hours
before placing frozen or deep-frozen products in the freezer compartment. Then turn the thermostat
back to its usual position.
