The patented protective diaphragm offers the best possible protection and safety
for mother and baby. This diaphragm hermetically shuts off the breast pump.
Breast milk, bacteria or germs cannot contaminate neither the tubes nor the
pump.
You can operate the mamivac breast pumps either with one or two suction
®
kits. To save time, both breasts can be expressed at the same time reducing the
expressing time by about 50 %. This gives a mother more time for her baby and
family.

3. Purpose
Suction kit to be used with a breast pump for breastfeeding mothers to express
breast milk.
3.1 Indication
mamivac suction kits shall be used together with mamivac breast pumps in

order to gently and softly express and collect breast milk. Breastfeeding problems
can be: Mastitis, anatomic variants of the mammilla (which make latching on
difficult), aching or sore mammilla, low or excessive lactation, premature delivery,
metabolic disorders of the infant, anatomic misformations of the infant in the
facial area, temporary illness of the mother (e.g. medication).
3.2 Contraindication
Taking medication in general may affect breastfeeding an infant. The patient infor-
mation leaflets of the pharmaceutical companies contain appropriate information.
3.3 Side effects
In individual cases, the skin may be irritated resulting in redness or red spots.
