Preservation of food

NOTE!
The cooling capacity can be influenced by:
The ambient temperature.
The quantity of food to be preserved.
The frequency with which the door is opened. If the ambient temperature is between
16°C and 20°C, set the refrigerator to at least level 2.

DANGER OF DAMAGE!
Do not store warm food in the refrigerator.
Do not place glass containers with liquid in the freezer.
NOTE!
Food that can easily absorb taste and smell, as well as liquids and products with a
high alcohol content should be stored in airtight containers.
You can preserve food in the refrigerator. The period for which food can be preserved in this
way is usually indicated on the packaging.
The refrigerator is divided into different zones with different temperatures:
• The colder zones are located directly above the drawers for fruit and vegetables, near the
rear wall.
• Please note the temperature specifications and the best before date on the food
packaging.
• When using the refrigerator, please note the following: - Never refreeze products that
have already been thawed or defrosted, but consume them as soon as possible. - Wrap
food in aluminium foil or cling film and seal in a suitable box with a lid.
• This helps to preserve the aroma, shape and freshness.

Defrosting the freezer

NOTE! DANGER OF DAMAGE!
Never use mechanical tools to remove ice or loosen objects stuck to the unit. The
only exception to this is equipment approved by the manufacturer for this purpose.
How to defrost the refrigerator:
• Empty the contents.
• If necessary, place it in another refrigerator to keep it cool.
• Press the button until the refrigerator switches off.
• Close the door properly.

Switching off and storing the refrigerator

If you do not intend to use the refrigerator for a longer period of time, proceed as follows:
