Intended use
The product serves as a camera that can transmit the captured image over a USB connection
to an Apple® iPad. Thanks to the integrated lens, particularly small objects/surfaces can be
magnifi ed and imaged.
Power is supplied via an integrated rechargeable battery, which can be charged via the en-
closed wall plug transformer.
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not permitted for
safety and approval reasons (CE). Never dismantle the product.
• The product is not a toy. Devices operated using mains voltage must be kept out of
the reach of children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product is only intended for use in dry, indoor locations. No part of the product
should become damp or wet; never handle it if your hands are wet!
Wall plug transformers have the potential to cause a fatal electric shock!
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with Protection Class II. Use only
a standard mains socket as the power source for the wall plug transformer.
• For recharging the accumulator of the microscope camera solely use the provided
wall plug transformer.
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
Hold it on the sides of the casing and pull it out of the mains socket.
• If the wall plug transformer is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life from
electric shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the wall plug transformer
is connected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or, for example remove
the safety fuse or switch off at the corresponding RCD protective switch, so that the
socket is fully disconnected).
You can then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of
the faulty wall plug transformer in an environmentally friendly way, do not use it any
more. Replace it by a wall plug transformer of the same design.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.

Initial operation / Operation
a) Assembly of the bracket
Screw the holding bracket down in the thread of the stand. With the nut on the holding bracket
the latter can be securely fastened on the stand.
The bracket can be adjusted according to one's requirements. The U-shaped black camera
holder can be carefully bent apart or together via an integrated joint so that it surrounds and
securely fastens the microscope camera.
b) Charging the rechargeable battery of the microscope camera
Connect the mini USB plug of the provided wall plug transformer to the corresponding socket
(5) on the microscope camera.
Then plug the wall plug transformer into a mains socket.
The charging process starts; the middle blue LED (7) of the microscope camera lights up. A
slight warming during the charging process is normal.
c) Downloading/installation App
Switch on your iPad and start the App store. Enter "Im Scope" in the search bar and install this
App (the App is available free of charge).
d) Changing the WLAN settings
The microscope camera has an integrated WLAN access point which is used to transmit the
live image of the camera to the iPad. For this reason, a different WLAN must be selected in the
setting menu of the iPad.
To do this, do as follows:
• Start the setting menu of the iPad and select the WLAN confi guration.
