1. Take the fan out of the box and remove any protective wrappings.
2. Place all the parts on the floor.
3. Remove the four position screws on the base, align the base with the four holes on the
holding plate, insert the four position screws and tighten.
4. Remove the four position screws on the motor and align the rear guard with the four
holes on the motor (handle facing top of the fan) insert the four position screws and
tighten.
5. Loosen the set screw on the blade; slide the blade on to the shaft of the motor. Tighten
the set screw on to the flat side of the shaft to secure the blade ensuring the blade does
not damage the guards.
6. Assemble the front guard to the rear guard. Tighten the connecting screw and nut;
thereafter secure the retaining clips.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.The on/off switch is incorporated in the speed control switch on the head of the fan.
2. Your Russell Hobbs fan control has three speed settings. The various speed settings
assist in regulating the airflow from the fan:

The fan is switched off.
1
The fan operates at the lowest speed.
2
The fan operates at the medium speed.
3
The fan operates at the highest speed.
3. The fan can operate in oscillation or static mode;
4. To make the fan head oscillate, push down the Oscillation Knob.
5. To stop the fan head from oscillating pull the Oscillation Knob up.
6. The head of the fan can be adjusted up or down - to do this unplug unit, loosen the
adjusting knob; adjust the fan to the desired angle. To secure tighten the Adjusting
Knob.
CLEANING
1. Before cleaning, always ensure the fan is switched off and disconnected from the
electrical socket.
2. Wipe off dust and dirt with a warm moist cloth and then buff with dry cloth.
3. Do not immerse the fan in water or other fluids.
