7.0 Troubleshooting Chart
You have chosen the best quality and therefore deserve the best service. To avoid unnecessary disap-
pointments, you should check the following before contacting the ALTO service organisation:
Problem
Machine refuses to start
Motor buzzes
Machine stops
Fuses blow
Pressure pulsating
Machine starts-up but
no water comes out
Should other malfunctions occur than those mentioned above, please contact your local ALTO
distributor.

Possible Cause
Plug not connected
Defective socket
Fuse blown
Defective extension cable
If the machine is started
and not relieved of
pressure, the motor cannot
overcome the pressure.

Correction
Connect plug.
Try another socket
Change the fuse. Switch off other machines etc.
Try without extension cable.
Activate the trigger of the spray handle.
Change fuse. Switch off other machines etc.
Check that mains voltage corresponds to
specifications on the model tag.
Wait - the machine will restart after a few
minutes.
WARNING ! The trigger of the spray handle
must NOT be activated.
Change to a mains with a supply higher than the
amp. consumption of the machine.
Allow cleaner to run with open spray handle
until regular working pressure is obtained.
Check that the water supply corresponds to the
specifications (see model tag).
Note: avoid using hoses with a small diameter
(min. 1/2").
Clean the nozzle (see section 6.1)
Clean the screen (see section 6.2)
Straighten out hoses.
Dismount high pressure extension hose and
retry. (extension hose max. 7 m)
Wait for pump/hose/accessory to thaw.
Connect inlet water.
Clean the screen (see section 6.2)
Clean the nozzle (see section 6.1)
