K-40 Drain Cleaner
Machine Assembly
WARNING
To prevent serious injury, proper assembly of the
Drain Cleaner is required. The following proce-
dures should be followed:
Instructions For Mounting Autofeed To
K-40
1. Attach the autofeed mounting bracket to the front
frame of the K-40 with the bolts provided (Figure 5).

2. Align the autofeed unit onto the mounting bracket of
the K-40. Lift up the feed actuator lever to expose the
screw hole in the mounting bracket. (It should re-
quire effort to lift the handle.) (Figure 6)

3. Pull cable end through autofeed unit.
4. Secure the autofeed unit with the screws provided.
Tighten screws snugly, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

5. Make sure the roller holder is installed properly.
(Figure 7). Push the feed actuator lever back down
into its LOCKED position.

Instructions For Mounting Guide Hose
With Autofeed To K-40/K-40 Battery
Do not remove any parts from the Model K-40 or K-40B.
1. If required, attach mounting bracket to front of K-40
with the 1 / " bolt provided (Figure 7).

2. Pull about 5' of cable out of K-40/K-40B and hand-
push it through the guide hose.
3. Attach rear of guide hose to mounting bracket on
K-40/K-40B by lifting pull pin up and guiding it into top
aligning hole in mounting bracket (Figure 8).

4. Assure enough cable is exposed at the end of the
guide hose to also feed through autofeed unit
(Figure 9).
