BLADE CARE
For best results mower blades must be kept sharp. Re place
bent or damaged blades.
CAUTION: Use only a replacement blade approved
by the manufacturer of your tractor. Using a blade
not approved by the manufacturer of your tractor
is hazardous, could damage your tractor, and void
your warranty.
BLADE REPLACEMENT (See Figs. 1 - 6)
Raise mower to highest position to allow access to blades.
CAUTION: When handling the blade, protect your
hands with gloves and/or wrap blade with heavy
cloth.
TO REMOVE BLADE
Squeeze tabs (1) inward to release cap (2). Remove by
lifting cap (2) from hinge (3) and set aside. See Fig. 1.
Slide thumb lock (4) and release pivot (5) to allow wire-form
(6) to swing free from standoffs (7). See Fig. 2.
Open the top plate (8) and remove blade (9). See Fig. 3.
NOTE: Blade is held in place by magnets to prevent free release.
TO INSTALL BLADE
Clean area under top plate (8), the bottom of the mandrel
assembly (10), and around bosses (11) thoroughly to
remove any dirt or debris.
Align bosses (11) and insert blade. See Fig. 4.
NOTE: Magnets should hold blade (9) in place.
Close the top plate (8) over the blade (9) and hook the
wire-form (6) over the standoffs (7).
Push pivot (5) closed until secured by the thumb lock (4).

Reinstall cap (2). Hook cap (2) onto hinge (3) and rotate
onto tabs (1). Press cap (2) firmly into place, ensuring
both tabs (1) lock into cap (2). See Fig. 6.
NOTE: Replace cap (2) if worn or cracked.
