Installation instructions
The connection pipe can be mounted horizontally
or vertically (ascending flow) to the safety valve
(s. fig. 2). The safety valve should be well and
accessibly located. No shut-off valve should be
fitted between the safety valve and the water
heater (s. fig. 1).
The safety valve must have a visible and free
outlet and discharge directly or through a drain
line as short as possible.
For a perfect fonction we recommend the use of
the water-drip nozzles, JRG Code 8225 and 8228.

Starting up:
Before putting the safety valve into
operation, flush the incoming pipes
thoroughly.
Important
While the water heater is heating up,
water must be able to run from the
drain on the safety valve (expansion).
The drain on the safety valve and the
drain line must not be obstructed.
Maintenance
(s. fig. 3a + 3b and 4a + 4b)
JRGARANT safety valves are largely
maintenance- free.
It is not permitted to repair the
JRGARANT safety valve.
