Safety Instructions

This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by

people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a
lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and
have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply
with the relevant safety precautions.
Children must not play with the device.

Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by chil-
■
dren, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are super-
vised.
Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept
■
away from the device and the mains adapter.
The device should only be used and stored out of the reach
■
of children and animals. Improper use can lead to injuries and
electric shock.
The device must always be switched off and disconnected from
■
the power supply when it is not being supervised and before as-
sembling, disassembling or cleaning the device.
Never immerse the device, mains cable or mains adapter in wa-
■
ter or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or
become wet.
Do not make any changes to the device. It must not be used if
■
the device, the accessories, the mains cable or adapter exhibit
visible damages. Do not attempt to repair the device or acces-
sories. Only have the device, cable and adapter repaired by a
qualifi ed workshop! In the event of damage, promptly contact
the customer service department.
Dangers of Injury
■ Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging material. There is a
risk of injury and suffocation!
■ Keep fi ngers away from all moving parts. Special care should be taken in the area of
the sewing needle.
■ Do not sew any clothing while it is being worn on your body or the body of another
person. Take off the clothing before doing any sewing.
■ Make sure that the mains cable connected to the device does not present a trip haz-
ard. The mains cable must not hang down from the place of use to prevent the device
from being pulled down.
■ Do not use the device if it is damaged.
