MANUAL
Below the descriptions of the features/options of the HCG 015. The numbers between the "(...)" refer to the key
or c onnections on the unit. The illustrations can be found in the front of this manual.
Connection and clock set
• Plug the power cord into a 230V AC outlet.
• T he electronic clock will turn on and the clock shows "0:00" flashings on the display to indicate that it's not
set correctly.
• Press the [, TUNING / HOUR] button (8) to set the hour.
• Press the [TUNING . / MINUTE] button (7) to set the minute.
• After setting to the correct time, either press [TIME] button (4) once, or just leave it for 5 seconds.
• To change the current time, the radio must be switched off – to turn it off, press the [ON/OFF] button (3).
Press and hold [TIME] button (4) for 1 sec. until the display flashes, and follow the steps above to adjust
the time.
Alarm setting
This product features convenient dual alarms. Each alarm function can be set independently, with a choice
of Wake To Radio or Wake To Buzzer. If either alarm is set to Wake To Radio, please remember to select the
desired band, station and volume level before turning off the radio.
To set the alarm time, the Radio must be turned OFF. To turn it OFF, press the [ON/OFF] button (3).
• P ress and hold the [VOLUME - / AL1] (1) to set the first alarm. The alarm time will display and flash and
either [
] or [
] will also light up. Press [VOLUME - / AL1] (1) again to change wake to buzzer/radio or
OFF.
• Press the [, TUNING / HOUR] button (8) to set the hour.
• Press the [TUNING . / MINUTE] button (7) to set the minute.
• After setting the desired alarm time, press [VOLUME - / AL1] button (1) again, or simply wait for 5 seconds.
The display will return to the current time and the alarm time is saved.
To use a second alarm, follow the steps above only than choose the [VOLUME + / AL2] button (2).
When the Alarm sounds, you can either:
• Press [ON/OFF] button (3) once to switch off the alarm. You can see that the alarm indicator is still on,
showing that the alarm function is still activated and will sound the next day.
• Press the [SNOOZE] button (9) to temporarily turn the alarm off for 9 minutes.
• If no button is pressed after the alarm sounds, the alarm will continue sounding and automatically turn off at
1 hour after the alarm time.
• To disable the alarm completely, press [VOLUME - / AL1] button (1) or [VOLUME + / AL2] button (2) until
their indicators (radio or buzzer) disappear from the display.
Notes:
- T he alarm 1 (or 2) indicator will flash on the display when the alarm sounds.
- I f a later alarm sounds when the earlier alarm is still sounding, the first alarm will take priority.
- I f a later alarm sounds when the earlier alarm is in snooze, the later alarm will take priority and cancel the
snooze function of the earlier alarm automatically.
Snooze settings
• When an alarm sounds, press the [SNOOZE] button (9) to stop the buzzer or radio alarm. The alarm will sound
again after about 9 minutes. The SNOOZE function can be repeated within 1 hour from the set alarm time.
• D uring the time when SNOOZE function is activated, the corresponding alarm indicator will flash.
• To switch off the SNOOZE function, simply press [ON/OFF] button (3) once. The alarm indicator will stop
flashing and the alarm will not sound again until the set time on the next day.
Sleep timer settings
• When you're listening to the radio, press the [SLEEP] button (9). The display shows "90" (for 90 minutes).
Press the [SLEEP] button (9) repeatedly until the display shows your desired SLEEP time period. The time
period is shown on the display in sequence as: 90 > 80 > 70 > 60 > 50 > 40 > 30 > 20 > 10 > OFF.
• 2 seconds after the desired SLEEP period is chosen, the display will change back to show the current time,
and the radio will play for the SLEEP time duration you have set and then turn off automatically.
• Press the [SLEEP] button (9) again during SLEEP mode and the display will show the remaining time of
