Please note the included General Safety Notes and the
following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or
physical injury:
Please read this manual carefully and use the unit only according to this manual.
▪ When using the reciprocating saw, use safety equipment including safety glasses and
ear protection. If the work produces dust wear respiratory protection suitable for the
work being undertaken. If operating the tool causes discomfort in any way, stop
immediately and review your method of use.
▪ Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children.
There is a danger of suffocation!
▪ Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to use the
unit, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
▪ Always hold the tool by the insulated gripping surfaces. Operations where the tool,
fitted accessories or fasteners may contact hidden 'live' wiring will make exposed
metal parts of the tool 'live' and cause an electric shock hazard to the operator.
▪ Always grip the tool firmly, do not overreach, and ensure you won't lose control. Keep
secure footing whilst using a reciprocating saw.
▪ Battery chargers are for indoors use only. Ensure that the power supply and charger
are protected against moisture at all times.
▪ Please read this manual carefully and use the unit only according to this manual.
▪ Keep hands away from the sawing range. Do not reach under the workpiece. Contact
with the saw blade can lead to injuries.
▪ Apply the machine to the workpiece only when switched on. Otherwise there is danger
of kickback when the cutting tool jams in the workpiece.
▪ When sawing, the footplate must always face against the workpiece. The saw blade
can become wedged and lead to loss of control over the machine.
▪ When the cut is completed, switch off the machine and then pull the saw blade out of
the cut only after it has come to a standstill. This way you can avoid kickback and can
place down the machine securely.
▪ Use only sharp, flawless saw blades. Bent or blunt saw blades can break or cause
kickback.
▪ Do not slow down the saw blade by applying side pressure after switching off. The saw
blade can be damaged, break or cause kickback.
▪ Do not cut or saw where there might be hidden electric wires, gas or water pipes.
